The bigger Buckeye Retreat vision
What if ordinary people could live extraordinary lives?
Explore how freedom, shared amenities, affordability, work, and community fit together.
A life that feels like yours again.
The vision is not passive luxury. It is riding, building, gardening, exploring, learning, and having enough room in the week to do something real.
Share the expensive parts.
Over time, shared workshops, recreation, trails, equipment, gardens, and gathering spaces could make expensive experiences more accessible while keeping personal independence.
A place to build a livelihood, too.
As the project grows, there may be opportunities in hospitality, maintenance, workshops, food, farming, events, or adventure experiences. These are future possibilities—not guaranteed jobs or a promise of free housing.
One starting point. Many possible destinations.
One day, the Buckeye idea could connect ranches, tropical retreats, agricultural villages, mountain bases, and maker destinations. Today, the first step is learning what works on five acres in Ohio.
Current property approach: Space is rented as-is. Planned improvements may be made over time, but no improvement, amenity, utility date, septic approval, permit outcome, or zoning outcome is guaranteed. Tiny homes must be placed on approved blocks or a real foundation. The current plan anticipates no residential construction permit or residential zoning requirement, subject to confirmation by local authorities.
